Community Involvement

Founder/Executive Director of Softdawgs, a non-profit volunteer group dedicated to education of responsible dog ownership, established in 1998. Softdawgs’ leading achievements include: the 2000 “De-Poop-Da-Park” dog waste pickup educational campaign (poster and TV commercial, designed by Paul Evers Design, were winners of a 2^nd place National “Addy” award and a 1^st place Pacific Northwest “Addy” award); and, the 2003 “Responsibly Leashing Your Dog” educational campaign. Softdawgs has also been instrumental in helping to establish off-leash dog parks in Bend.

Founder/Coordinator, Compassionate Canines of Central Oregon - a Pet Partner Delta Society^® Affiliate Group, since 2000. Services include: volunteer coordination, facility set-up for certified Pet Partners visitations, monthly meetings, email correspondence, and media liaison.
