Creation of the Quick Draw™

While working as backcountry ranger for the US Forest Service in Central Oregon, and spending considerable time out on foot patrol with Coda (meet Coda), Mare conceptualized and later developed a prototype for an innovative product that she simply couldn't find anywhere on the market: a combination leash and collar. The idea was to allow Coda off-leash freedom during patrols, while making certain a leash was always within reach. Rights to this product were later purchased - and given a name: the Quick Draw™ - by Ruff Wear^®, an innovator of canine equipment.
