Linda is the founder of Blissful Acres Rescue Reserve [BARR] in Bend, filling the large animal care and rehabilitation need here in Deschutes County. She facilitates emergency situations like fire evacuations and criminal calls with PET [pet evacuation team] supported through the Redmond Humane Society.

After 20 years in the marketing, sales and advertising field here in Bend she decided to craft her passion for animals into her way of life. Linda teaches people and animals how to build healthy relationships at BARR training human volunteers with the current animal residents regularly. With a Pet Care Technician Certification Linda is an ideal addition to the staff at Dancin' Woofs Compassionate Dog Day Care.

She enjoys spending time with Ed Bartz her partner of many years, also founder of BARR, and her family usually surrounded by great food created by her oldest daughter. She has lived in the Bend area since 1977 and enjoys all that Central Oregon has to offer.
